How to Watch a Twitch VOD with Chat Replay
This guide explains how to open a past Twitch broadcast in NoSub, follow its chat replay and resume watching later. NoSub can only play a recording while Twitch still exposes its original replay source.
Before you open a Twitch replay
Start with a Twitch VOD link or the streamer name. NoSub does not host copied broadcasts: it reads the video source Twitch makes available for that replay.
A deleted, private, expired or unavailable recording cannot be restored by NoSub. This check keeps the player clear about what is actually available.

Use the player in four short steps:
- Copy the URL of the Twitch past broadcast, or search the streamer in NoSub.
- Paste the link into NoSub and start the video.
- Pick a source quality when multiple variants are available.

When Twitch provides the chat archive, NoSub loads it automatically and synchronizes messages to the VOD timeline. Pausing, seeking and resuming the video changes the chat position too.

NoSub does not require a NoSub account. Playback still depends on Twitch continuing to serve the replay source.
Can NoSub recover a deleted Twitch VOD?
No. NoSub does not keep an archive or a mirror. Once Twitch no longer serves a recording, it cannot be played in the app.
Why is the Twitch chat empty?
A chat replay is shown only when Twitch exposes chat data for that recording. Some broadcasts have no available archive or contain gaps.
