How to get the link

Using it
The same URL works in every common tool:
- VLC: Media > Open Network Stream, paste, play.

The link is signed and expires
This is the difference from Kick. Twitch signs playlist URLs with a token and a signature valid for a few hours. Past that the same URL returns an error even though the VOD is still online, and no amount of retrying helps. Copy a fresh link rather than storing one in a script — a saved Twitch M3U8 is a link with a shelf life, not a permanent address.
If your player hangs on a black screen
Some Twitch VODs are packaged as fMP4 rather than MPEG-TS. Those playlists start with an `#EXT-X-MAP` line pointing at an initialisation segment that has to be fetched before any video segment. A tool that ignores it will load forever without ever showing a frame. VLC, mpv and FFmpeg all handle it; a hand-written fetch loop usually does not, and that is the bug to look for first.
The other classic stall is a muted range: Twitch republishes silenced segments under an `-unmuted` name and some tools abort instead of continuing.
